At Terpstra Carpentry, the first step in building a new home begins with an initial meeting to discuss your project, goals and expectations. At this time we can review your designs and blueprints, or if you haven’t yet started working with an architect we can help direct you to reputable experts within the industry. We will discuss your budget, as well as make a site visit to assess your land and the feasibility of the project. We understand that building a home is a large financial investment, so we want you to be comfortable and confident that you are working with people who have your best interests in mind.

2. REVIEW QUOTATION & PROJECT PROPOSAL:

We will provide you with a free no-obligation quotation. We encourage you to review our quotation and proposal closely and feel free to ask any questions that you may have. Our proposal will include a detailed description of the scope of work involved for both the interior and exterior, as well as a payment schedule and project schedule. Once you have agreed to the quotation and project proposal it’s time to apply for a building permit. We will also provide you with a list of trusted and reputable tradespeople and subcontractors in Prince Edward County who can help your build transpire quickly and efficiently.

3. CONSTRUCTION:

As soon as possible we will begin construction on your new Terpstra custom built home. From site preparation and laying the foundation, to framing, roofing and finishing, Roy Terpstra will be there every step of the way.
